"Bardshir" (Lion Tombstone) 2012
Bardshir" (Lion Tombstone) or what in Persian is also called "Shir Sangi", from more than 200 years ago has been prevalent among Bakhtiari Lurs of middle Zagros Mountains in Iran. This totem was the symbol of valor, courage and lionhearted characteristic of the deceased man, and was placed on his grave by his living family members.
